Since everyone was showing pictures I thought I
might as well too. Here is "Mo" taken today 4-12-03. I know Leslie
she needs a hair cut LOL we have'nt gotten to that yet. :)
We have been working with her and she has
had a saddle blanket tied to her back with no fuss and she lets us work with
her feet (all four) with no problems, that is pretty good for US not her lol
since we really haven't had much time to work with her. I think I had said
before that we weren't in any big hurry with her and Jim says if she is 3 yrs
old before he rides her he doesn't care.
The Palomino in the other picture belongs to
our renter, she is a registered Fox Trotter and her and Mo are the best of
buddies.
Congratulations to Larry and Jenifer Hudson of Minnora, WV on their two fine Montana sons out of "Gate Farms Sweetie" and "Gate Farms Beth" Here they are at the 2001 CWVRC Riding Clubs 9th Annual Donkey and Mule Show Following in their Daddy's Hoofprints.... "Lucas", at 13 days old, being shown by Jenifer Hudson and "Senator", at 30 days old, being shown by Larry Hudson.
Updated 7-01 After a hard day washing the dog, performing for the public and passing the tip basket "Rodee" takes a well earned nap with his ball!! Dee says the only problem is he will only bring the tip basket to her, Rose and his Mama!!
Hi, My name is Monty Montana but you can call ma Monty for short. I belong to Carson Via and Barbara Flynn, and live in Waynsboro VA. My mom is a 48’ tall solid black pony mare and, of course, my Dad is Diamond ‘C’ Montana Jack. Here I am as a new born, I had lots of black spots than I turned solid white, that pleased Carson because he wanted a snow white mule. Now I’m 2 ½ years old and my spots are all coming back, big and black, Carson is not happy! Go figure I thought everyone wanted a spotted mule!! I joined the Dixie Pony Rides crew when I was 4 months old and have been traveling with them ever since—been there and done that by the time I was two. Here you can see me dressed for a parade as Santa Mule and practicing for when I was old enough to go to work and give pony rides. That’s me too pulling the Dixie Pony Rides wagon in my very first solo parade, ain’t I sharp!!!
Dec. 17, 2000 Dear Leslie, Sitting here watching the 2000 Burro Pack Racing Championships, it dawned on me I hadn’t mailed you the pictures I promised. So I have enclosed two pictures each of my favorite girls. We sold the little jack, but the two jennets have a lasting home here. I bred the fastest quarter mare to a jack that I stood this past spring. We are trying to get a mule to hit a couple of mule races around here and North Carolina. The jack I stood didn’t have the looks or temperament or class of Montana. If your in our area, stop in, see us, and we’ll have a bite to eat and chat awhile. Your
Friend,
