"Lucky" Not for Sale Jim McLeods "Lucky" by Montana out of "Diamond a walker mare.
The following is a letter written by
"Lucky":)
They call me "Lucky" cause Dad says I'm
lucky he didn't shoot me when I was born. Dad was more than a little surprised to
find me next to Diamond (my Mom) who is coal black. Actually I do have a few little
black spots but you have to look hard to see them! Dad was hoping for something a
little more like my biological Dad, Montana, but Dad has come to love me anyway. Not
long ago Dad took Mom and me to meet an "ole timer" friend of his, it was 8
miles and Dad said I ponied like a pro - not a bad hike for a little tyke, huh? Dads
friend told him I would be gaited but will I be a walkin' or rackin' mule? Dad has
to walk a mile a day for his health and I usually come with him. Dad is really
starting to enjoy me now that I've stopped kicking, biting and trying to mount him!
Boys will be boys but now I'm learning manners, what ever that is? Thats all for
now, will check back in when I'm a little older.

Congratulations to Chris and
Fuzzy (Jim) Hartgraves on the birth of their Montana daughter, “
Momma’s Montana MO ”, out of their good TWH mare. Chris was so happy
with MO she wrote her this song, sung to the tune of The Tennessee Stud.
A Missouri mare and a West
Virginia jack, got together behind the shack.
Before you know it they had
a molly mule, and don’t you know she’s a walking fool.
Pretty little gleam in her
eye, she shines like silver from the sun in the sky.
Gonna raise that babe, and
teach her right, never gonna let her get outta my sight.
She’s
gonna make her pappy proud, when he hears all the cheers coming from the
crowd.
She’s
gonna be the best they ever seen, with the gleam in her eye and that
silver sheen.
Now
if you want one you better start making tracks, to Diamond ‘C’ Montana
Jack! |

Congratulations
to Ed and Alice Hennen on their new Montana mule baby! Here is an
un-biased ( hahaha) opinion on this gal by Ed. Now named
"Grits"
- Un-bias
Opinion
Beautiful head, most newborns are all head Great
legs for a newbie, straight and strong, most can't get all four
under body for a week, Ears,
they almost have fishhooks on the ends, damn!
Hell,
the lone Ranger rode a white steed and ran around with an Indian.
(Maybe that's why he wore a mask.)
So did Smiley Burnett and he's built more like me! :)

Congratulations
to Deb and Alan Wilson way out in Montana!! This is what Debbie has to
say about Lou Cee!!
FPF Montana's
Miss Fancy but am calling her Lou Cee. Lou Cee's spots are more
numerous and getting darker! They are black, charcoal and brown. I
will get the camera out this weekend and get more pictures. What a
doll baby! Everyone who has seen her so far is so impressed and just
loves her! But she is NOT for sale! She is so much more then I ever
dreamed to get. Well got to work again tomorrow, guess they are going
to make me pay for not working the last couple of weeks. Will send
more pictures as we take them and will have a copy of paper sent to
you. I plan to show off this baby to the world! Take care and thank
you! Debbie

 Congratulations
to Dale Wing on his newest Montana Molly named "Liberty" aka
"Libby"
Our
new Montana foal was a molly we named Liberty-Libby for short. The
colt has a dorsal stripe, a stripe across the withers, and is a blue grey
with black points. I would guess when she sheds she will be a grulla.
Really like the
baby, and am interested in raising more, just didn't work out this year.
Planning to show this colt at the State fair in Sept., will keep you
advised.
