Montie and Me.jpg (20135 bytes)A Funny thing Happened at the Horse Show

Mom and I weren't going to Shelbyville this year  'cause we were waitin' on "Step and Painted Ribbon" A.K.A. "Butt Ugly" to have our mule baby that weekend.

Mom said I needed to be reminded that there was more to life than sex and carrots, and she needed some social interaction so we hauled down to the Central West Virginia Riding Club's open horse show.  When I get tied to the trailer I think it's great fun, and part of my job, to paw the biggest hole I can, Mom usually hobbles me - I hate that, takes all the fun out.  This show she gave me a mirror, even I didn't know I was that good looking!  I never even thought about pawing, people were asking Mom if I had a mirror in my stall?  The mirror and babysitting the puppy kept me busy for hours until our class.!

It was show time , the first thing the judge did was call me a mule  Mom set that judge straight rite quick!  She told him I was not a mule but a Jackass - a mule maker

There were twelve in the class, while we waited Mom talked to Mandy Rowan and I eyeballed Mandy's cute little QH mare.

The class was tied and the Judge picked me for third!  Mom couldn't believe it, the crowd just roared.  Mom says that was either the finest Judge in W.V. or he has a wicked since of humor!  Mom says she never heard tell of a Jackass placing in a horse halter class, but then, I'm not just any Jackass!

Will write more soon!
